Great for making smoothies!

Picked this up at Costco last week.This blender does a fantastic job with smoothies. It makes short work of even big pieces of frozen fruit, leaving a perfectly smooth product. The only thing I've had trouble with is fresh spinach in smoothies - it left a few tiny pieces. All in all, though, it's cheap and makes fast and perfect smoothies.There is a slight hot oil smell if you leave it on for too long, but that is normal (it's just the oil burning off the moving parts as the machine breaks in). It's the worst the first time you use the machine and improves with each use, and it doesn't start until my smoothies are done anyway.It's a great little machine!

Picked this up at Costo the other day. I have been reading reviews on other blenders and ended up just going for this one, because no news is good news maybe? Any way I have made smoothies for the past 3 days and a late night pina colada. It blends ice well, it doesn't leave chuncks of fruit, and it doesn't require me to hold down the blender or stop and push things down. I have not used the milkshake part and I probably wont, so I can't say how that part of this blender works. Good luck blender shopping!

Bought as a christmas present for a friend. My only disappointment is the base isn't actually metal as I was hoping for durability. Should be perfectly fine as long as it isn't dropped.As for Power, we've mainly used it for margarita's, and it blends ice like it's no big deal. I am thinking about buying a second one for myself so I'll have an amazing blender when I have parties at my own place. (my cheap plastic one no longer satisfies me after using this.)
