VERY Powerful, and hassle free so far!

Got one of these for Christmas, but one of those gifts I chose. I did alot of research on this blender and was a little worried by some reviews I found online to be honest. But, I noticed most of the 'bad' reviews were reviews of the regular model, and not the newest "elite" one which is actually quite a bit different. The one I have does not have a screw-on lid that has to be on in order to power on the machine, it just slips on now. Also the pitcher does not need to be twistes, and it just sorta 'pops' into place and sits there (no twisting). I found it to be no noisier than my Kitcheaide blender really, which was another big complaint I heard from alot of people. My first smoothie I chose frozen strawberries (my Kitcheaid's worst nightmare!). In under 60 seconds I had the smoothest smoothie I've ever had and even the strawberry seeds were completely liquified! I have yet to make a hot soup, but that's up next. The pitcher is a nice size and seems very durable. The lid to the pitcher seems a little flimsy, and the rubber seal on the lid kinda wants to slip off and I could see that becoming a bit of a problem in the future as it gets 'broken in'. The motor/body piece SEEMS to me to be a bit light weight for as much power as it has, so I'm not real sure about the longevity of the machine, and for those 2 things are the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5. I'm very happy with it so far!

Motor Burned Out On Third Use

I received this item for Christmas and was very pleased with the first two runs. A smoothie, then cream of broccoli soup. Worked great. I was just making cream of potato soup, with it less than half full with boiled pieces of potato (falling apart boiled) and three cups of chicken stock. There was no reason for this to be a tough blending job, but it was. After about 55 seconds I smelled that electrical burning smell and then smoke appeared. It's life has been lived and I will never own another one. Great idea and was/would be a wonderful addition to my kitchen, however not this brand. Greatly disappointed.

Love my HealthMaster Elete

I had my original HealthNet it quite some time and had no problems with it until I decided to put a spoon into my smoothie. I missed it so much I immediately ordered the new health master and decided to go with the elite model. i like it even more then my original. It arrived and I started making my daily smoothies immediately. It is much easier to turn on and off. No more twisting of the base and twisting of the top. I also like the new blades and the new canister. After using it about a week I decided to contact health master about my old machine. They told me it was under lifetime warranty and would send me a new base.. I could not believe it. In less than a week I received a new complete a elete health master to replace my old one. Amazing service. My nephew with three children is now completely enjoying a new health master. I can't imagine being without my HealthMaster.
