Blendtec convert

I agree with people who LOVE their Blendtec. I've had mine for two years now and use both the standard size jar and Wildside (larger) jar for blending. I make fresh peanut butter in it in small batches. Nothing beats having fresh, warm peanut butter. I also blend up the Costco size bag (2 1/2 lbs) of spinach, freeze it in silicon cupcake pans and store them for my smoothies. Makes it so easy in the morning.One piece of research I did when selecting between the Blendtec and the Vitamix is that the Vitamix is quite a bit taller and generally does not fit on a kitchen counter under the overhead shelves. The Blendtec is shorter and fits perfectly on the counter and can be tucked to the back under the overheads.There is a HUGE difference between a standard blender and this baby.Enjoy.

This was a replacement for a vitamix that came bad right from the factory. I probably would have kept the vitamix, had it not been for their really bad customer service and incredible long wait time to get any help on the phone.I was really impressed by the Blendtech. I do like the controls on the vitamix better (much simpler) but the blendtech blends so much better there is no comparison. This blender is like a vitamix on steroids!So in the end this blender was a couple of hundred dollars less than the vitamix, blends much better and is made in the USA!

Backstory: My wife and I realized we weren't eating enough fruits and vegetables. We weren't sleeping well, our joints hurt, we had no energy, and the food processing plant inside each of us just wasn't functioning predictably or efficiently. Juicing seemed a waste of good fiber so we started blending with an ancient 375 watt blender we had in the cabinet. It worked okay, but the texture and consistency didn't always rest well on the tongue. Plus it was a major pain to clean because you had to disassemble the "jar." Fortunately though, once we started blending, we had more energy, hurt substantially less, slept better, and the food processing plant inside us was just humming along nicely. If we missed a couple days due to schedules we immediately noticed the difference in how we felt.Blendtec Purchase: Once we experienced the health advantages of blending we decided to upgrade our blender capabilities to a top shelf blender. My dad always said "buy first what you'd buy last to avoid the cost of continually upgrading your equipment." After doing the research we settled on the Blendtec Total Blender with both the FourSide and the WildSide jars. Wow! What a HUGE difference in every aspect of our blending experience. The blended result for both fruit and vegetables, including carrots, was smooth and creamy no matter what we put in the jar, including shelled nuts. Cleanup is a breeze, so much easier than the old blender and no disassemby required. The programmed cycles take all the guesswork out of how long to blend and on what speed depending upon what you are making. It is by far the most expensive countertop appliance we own, but it is paying for itself many times over. Since adding significantly more fruits and vegetables to our daily menus we are actually eating less meat and grain products. Our weight is dropping in addition to the benefits already mentioned. Our grocery bill has gone down too.Heck, as I was typing this, I went in to get myself a cup of coffee. I looked at the blender while in the kitchen and used the coffee to make a frappuccino instead. No recipe just coffee, milk, Hershey's dark syrup, a little sugar, and ice cubes. Not super healthy but oh so delicious. First time I tried it! Just saved $5 and got three times as much as I would at the corner coffee house.The old blender, practically a family heirloom, has been put in the bin to use when camping. The new Blendtec gets at least two or three workouts a day. We LOVE LOVE LOVE the Blendtec Total Blender.
