The incredible new Twister Jar from Blended is what every kitchen needs for making the thickest blends ever. The Twister Jar will help you make everything from nut butters to hummus, from baby food to flavored cream cheese, from ultra-thick shakes to dressings and more. Best of all, it's compatible with all Blended home blenders. A simple twist is all it takes. To use, simply add ingredients and twist the lid counter-clockwise while the blend cycle is running. This twisting motion forces the ingredients from the sides of the jar back into the blade, achieving a perfect blend every time – even with the thickest ingredients. We'll also include our new Spectacular – a silicone-head spatula engineered specifically for the Twister Jar. We made this spatula just the right length and shape to get nearly every morsel out of your jar. Great for single servings. The Twister Jar is also great for small, single-serving recipes. Use the included Gripper Lid to make whole juices, smoothies, soups or whatever you want to take with you on the go.

Wonder Jar!

It goes without saying that we love our BlendTec Total Blender, and use it at least once a day to whip up our daily green smoothies. I can't imagine life without it; it has earned a permanent place on our countertop.Could the Total Blender possibly be improved upon? Well, since you asked...YES, and the BlendTec Twister Jar does the trick. We use nut butters in cooking fairly regularly, but have you checked the price of almond butter lately? Yikes! I did a down-and-dirty analysis that proved to me that the purchase of this (admittedly pricey) accessory would pay for itself in about a year, assuming that we made our own nut butters. Well, when the Twister Jar arrived today, the first thing I did (after a quick wash, of course) was to whip up a batch of almond butter. A cup and a half of raw almonds, pop the special Twister lid on the jar, cranked the BlendTec up to 7 and turned the Twister lid in a counter-clockwise direction. It took about 90 seconds to reach the consistency that I wanted, but when I opened the lid, the aroma of warm almond butter filled the air. Having just baked some whole wheat bread that was cooling on the counter, I couldn't resist slicing off a piece and slathering on some of this heady mix, and it was wonderful -- smooth, warm, creamy, perfectly blended.So, now we own the BlendTec Total Blender, the Wildside Jar, the Four-sided Jar, the Twister Jar, as well as the BlendTec home flour mill, and I have to say that the investment in these quality-made products is absolutely among the best purchases we've made. We can now easily mill our own bulk-purchased grains, make bread, then enjoy it with our own home-made (and relatively cheap) nut butters, and wash it all down with a great smoothie! I can't say enough about the BlendTec products we own. Are they expensive? Sure, but only if you allow them to sit unused in a cupboard. If you put them to use, you'll easily justify the price in money saved on processed foods and better, healthier meals. I'm a lifelong fan of BlendTec! (and though it may sound like it, I'm NOT associated with BlendTec in any way, except as a happy customer!)

Just received my mixer jar and went put in about 12 oz (by volume) dry roasted saltfree peanuts. I then started on speed one and then quickly went to 6 and I was blown away for as soon as I started twisting the lid peanut butter was forming and literally in less than 10 seconds, the smoothest creamiest peanut butter I ever had was completed.One of the reasons why I was shocked with these results was that I thought I would have to add oil as these were Planters DRY Roasted nuts, yet none would ever be needed.I then made a mixture of dry roasted peanuts and raw almonds and this time in less than 20 seconds a peanut/almond butter was completed.The spatula that is included is shaped such that almost all of the processing jar can have the nut butter removed and the cleanup was easy but literally took longer than making nut butter.Having had even the VitaPrep machine and making nut butters for years, I was not prepared for the incredible ease and speed that the mixer jar achieved and to me my first impression was wow , magic!

I've had mine since it was released and absolutely LOVE it! I make a variety of delicious and wholesome recipes in it from homemade nut butters, hummus, coconut butter (this saves $12 off store bought), smaller smoothies and dressings, raw vegan cheese cakes, and probably a gazillion more things.What would take 8-10 minutes in your food processor takes 44 seconds in the twister jar. There isn't any stopping to scrape down the batter or watering down from adding liquids to get it moving again. The prongs on the lid that fit flush with the canister can be turned counter clockwise while blending, keeping everything in motion.Definitely worth the investment!
