Crush Master...Great Blender...Really does the job!

I must say that I have been surprised at how well this blender has done over the years. I've used it for over 4 years at this point and it has never failed me when I need to crush ice, blend drinks or mix fruit with my yogurt.I was surprised when I read the negative review that has been posted on this great blender. I've never had trouble unlocking the base from the jar. And the glass jar has stood the test of time with me. I guess I have to conclude that the author of that review must have gotten a lemon and did not take the time to return it for another.

Do not buy this blender

I bought this blender about 1 1/2 years ago to make drinks for a party. From the first day, I had trouble locking and unlocking the base from the jar. I only used the blender about 10 times and the last time I used it, the jar cracked all the way down the side after running it under hot water in the sink. This blender is supposed to crush ice, but I was using it to blend a sauce that was room temperature. It never should have cracked from the water temperature. I am now looking for a new blender and it will definitely not be a Black & Decker!
